Links from longer form, evergreen content (a 1,000+ word article that’s been popular for a long time) will be higher value than short, news-based posts. Search Engines are not humans. They do not read your content; they just evaluate it, based on text, language analysis and other factors. If you use the right mixture of keywords, link juice and backlink strategies, you will manage to get a good rank on SERPs. Content is a powerful marketing tool. Yes, "content is king" – but that's only half the story. Imagine if Wikipedia, one of the world's most popular sites, offered no more than huge blocks of text, or if Google cluttered its search interface with distracting graphics. It's unlikely that either site would have become as successful as they are today. When content and design work in harmony, users will find your site more easily and stay there longer. The intro of the article should be short, focused, and to the point. This will help the reader prepare for what they are going to learn from reading the article.
Go great or go home
Find forums online that are related to your sites niche and get involved within that community. Reply to threads, answer peoples questions, offer advice, etc. This all helps to build up your reputation as someone who is an expert within that niche. Too many links, and
it seems like your content relies too heavily on outside content; too few links, and some readers may question where you’re getting your information. It may seem quite fascinating for your website to have a lot of content for a lot of people. However, it is not okay is using and spinning the same information over and over again just to stay in sight. Your website loading speed is one of the most important rankings factors in Google. No one likes slow websites, and neither does Google.
Move inline scripts and styles into separate files
If you establish that even the ranking of the competitors is also fluctuating, it means that the cause of the issue is SERP. It’s possible to rank
number one for many keywords that have no real ROI. Instead, you should focus on metrics that bring conversions. Those new to SEO think that this kind of online marketing strategy is a long, complicated process that includes many parts. While there are a lot of factors to consider when optimizing your website, they don’t need to be all done at the same time. Build a unique contact page for each location that you operate and mark up your location information in Schema.org.
Determine which keywords people are using to find your blog content
The more higher quality, relevant websites pointing at your site, the better chances of moving up Google’s ranking ladder. Dig through your customer communications to find additional, actively used keywords. Talk to your customer service people to find out what customers are asking about (in their words). It's not actually that difficult to get on page 1 of Google in a search (but that depends on the search!) You need to know your market and you need to have a good understanding of SEO and how to use keywords. You also need some time, I'm not selling magic online marketing wands - if you know someone who is, please hook me up! We asked an SEO Specialist
, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "The other point that has become increasingly important is that relevant anchor text should be used in links. This applies not just to external links pointing into your site, but internal linkages throughout your Web site."
Entirely too genius SEO
Make sure that all of your web pages can be indexed by search engines - make sure that they all have at least one link from somewhere on your site. Modern commercial search engines
rely on the science of information retrieval (IR). This science has existed since the middle of the twentieth century, when retrieval systems powered computers in libraries, research facilities, and government labs. As you spend time identifying your target audience and conducting keyword research, you’ll begin to uncover long tail keywords that will help you identify the best options for naming and describing your product or service. The more fresh, engaging and authoritative content on your website the better regarded it will be by search engines.
